NEMETON HIGH GREEN TECH MAGAZINE

It’s the new issue.
The last work we are proud to communicate is ‘NEMETON’ the ‘High Green Tech Magazine’. NEMETON is a Maurizio Corrado publishing project. Maurizio is a fine designer and writer. He works on ecological and sustainable architecture since 10 years writing not less than 14 books about these topics.
We often collaborate with him and we share the same vision about the mankind’s future. We have to narrow the distance between Man and Nature if we want to deserve a future. We’ve been in charge to design logo, layout, grid, pagination and cover under Corrado’s patient supervision. It’s the new issue.

Nemeton is a biannual publication dedicated to the newest in greening technologies: roof gardens, vertical green walls, bio-pools, and constructing with bamboo, straw, or mud, as well as all other projects that weave together the knowledge of the architect with that of the agronomist.

Nemeton is a word of Celtic origin meaning sacred grove – the place where the divine manifests itself that for the Celts and most other peoples that symbolized a sense of profound union with the world. It is where the union between nature and man, his identity, and his sense of belonging is evident.

Technology is not enough; one must also know what to do and why. These answers can be sought in all areas of human knowledge – in our philosophies, religions, and anthropological studies, and in the sciences of nature and man. With this in mind, every edition of Nemeton explores a theoretical theme and provides a technical dossier.

Becoming ever more diffuse, a new attention in the presence of vegetation is completely changing our traditional understanding of what ‘green’ means.
This change involves many things: agriculture and what we eat, architecture and landscape, design and how we live. Now more than ever we are coming to recognize that all of these aspects are inextricably linked by a common denominator—the green factor.

Nemeton is part of a broader project that encompasses, in Italy, the Web portal www.culturadelverde.it, a variety of educational initiatives promoting the culture of nature through events and conferences, and a series of technical books addressing various aspects of sustainable architecture published by Sistemi Editoriali Esselibri Simone.
